The Lotus Tree gay guesthouse combines traditional stone buildings with stylish interiors and modern amenities. We have been one of the most popular gay hotels in Europe since 2001 and we aim to get better every year.
Situated where Provence meets the Languedoc. Historic towns, beautiful countryside and gay beaches on the Mediterranean are all in easy reach.
Arpad (here on the left) is with us again in 2012 to help welcome you.
Couples and single guys receive the same relaxed, informal welcome. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast served under the shade of ancient oak trees. Make new friends around our large swimming pool or find one of the many quiet spots in the garden to chill out.
Massage now available. Rooms from €70 all season.
We are now closed but taking bookings for 2012.
Whether you’re looking for an activity holiday or just to laze by the pool, The Lotus Tree offers a comfortable and affordable base. We are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields. The private gardens look out across the Cèze valley to the medieval walled town of Montclus.
Ours is an exclusively gay guesthouse but all the charm of rural France is right on the doorstep: unspoilt villages, excellent restaurants to suit all pockets and, of course, superb wines. The gay bars and clubs of Avignon, Nimes and Montpellier are all accessible by car. Closer to home there are two gay naturist beaches on the river just 10 minutes away.
For over ten years we have worked to make The Lotus Tree one of Europe’s most popular gay resorts. In 2010 we invested in a major upgrade of our pool area and rooms.
Unlike a traditional gay hotel, we like to give you a choice so you can design your holiday the way you want it.
We offer both bed and breakfast accommodation and self-contained studios with kitchen areas and space to eat either outside or in. We provide a generous spread for breakfast including fresh fruit, bread, yoghurts, croissants and pastries. And you can breakfast late – it’s a holiday after all.
We will never fuss over you because we hate that when we travel ourselves. There are very few rules. But we will make sure that you have everything you need – not least a clean, comfortable room with top quality bedding.
And The Lotus Tree is clothing optional. So if you prefer to sunbathe, swim or go to your room naked that’s OK. If not, you'll be equally welcome.
In case you were wondering, the 'Lotus Tree' gay guesthouse got its name from the graceful micocoulier trees which shade the house from the Mediterranean sun. These are the same trees that, according to Homer, caused his men to “lose all desire for home” once they’d tasted its fruit.
Open your shutters every morning and breathe the fresh country air. Maybe you'll feel the same! We hope so.
A note about our photos: All the guys pictured on the site have been at The Lotus Tree. Are they typical? Maybe not, but you'd expect us to choose the best looking ones! Our guests range from early 20s to much more mature. And everybody gets the same warm welcome.
